Wedding Post Boxes... with Style

When your planning your wedding you have so many details and decisions to put into place that it's very easy to overlook a wedding post box, however this small details does play an important part in the smooth running of your day.

You have spent many months planning your perfect day and your guests have spent many weeks (or some, even months too) planning to celebrate your day with you. Your guests plan their outfit, transport, your wedding gift and also plan the warmest wishes to write in their wedding card for the happy couple. So as you can see, it is vital that once your guests arrive at your wedding venue, they have a specific and safe place to lay their cards.

Now, you can just have a little plain box, but why stop there. Make you wedding post box part of your wedding decoration to create a stunning impact. For example, with vintage weddings being so popular this year and the year ahead, we absolutely love our new elegant Bird Cage post box, shown below:

The wedding post box is just another element of your wedding day that you can add your own personal touch to. Match your theme or your personality with what you choose and when everything comes together on your big day, it will be simply beautiful.

Rustic Chic Wedding Inspiration

A rustic chic wedding style can ooze style and personality. All you have to do is to play up the beauty surrounding you to have a rustic chic country wedding only imaginable in one’s dreams. A bit of glimmer here and a pinch of glamour there, with the right wedding decor, you can easily establish the notion of getting hitched happily.

Some ideas to complement your country themed rustic wedding are listed below. If you think that a rustic country wedding is about using hay bales to serve as seats for your guests as you feed them fried chicken, you are in for a big surprise. When a country themed wedding is what you seek, there is more to it than meets the eye.

For a country themed wedding, the menu should be something truly celebrating the gifts of nature, while coupling great taste with thoughtful presentation. For a country wedding, you actually have lots of terrific choices when it comes to the menu.

The same rule applies to floral decoration- simple yet stylish simultaneously. Go for centrepieces that do not look like total contrasts. Instead of settling for something expensive, use flowers that you can see around you. As for vessels, they should be chic but not pretentious.

The bride’s gown plays a vital role into manifesting the overall look and feel of the wedding. Choosing the right attire for the bride is a good place to get started. What you need is a gown that atone the natural charm around you with a touch of elegance and sophistication about it. A plain gown with more subtle embellishments and gracious cuts has the potential to accentuate the appeal of the country theme many folds.

With all the above country wedding ideas, you can easily pull off a marriage ceremony with rustic decor. Livening up your big day, country theme wedding favours are your added extra to have that simply stunning bash that inspires awe.

A Royal Wedding Less Ordinary - Two Royal Wedding Cakes

With the Royal Wedding upon us, the little details of the wedding are being released. It seems that even William and Kate want their wedding to be a wedding less ordinary. Breaking away from some of the traditions of the Royal Weddings in the past, William and Kate are making their own way and creating the wedding that they want, reflecting a bit of their personalities within the details of the day.

The Royal Wedding Cake (or should we say cakes)

William and Kate have decided to keep both the traditional and the modern when it comes to their wedding cake. How are they going to do this? ... by having two cakes of course. The first cake will be a traditional fruit cake made and designed by Fiona Cairns. The design will feature a sugar English rose, a Scottish thistle, the Welsh daffodil and an Irish shamrock. Not only that, but this cake will showcase the couples new cipher which will be unveiled on the big day itself and is thought to be an elegant design entwining the couples initials.

Now for the Royal Wedding Cake number two!

This is where William & Kate introduce the less ordinary to their wedding day. The Royal couple have requested a second cake to be designed and made using Prince William's favourite childhood biscuit McVities Rich Teas and chocolate.

Paul Courtney, McVities cake design and development head chef explains that the cake will be unbaked, with two new secret products made especially for the Royal couple. The cake will be modern and elegant, featuring a contemporary chocolate display.

Staff at McVities factory comissioned to make the Royal Wedding Cake number TWO.
